Invitation: Take Our Online Survey to Help Improve HIV and PrEP Services in Thailand

Love Foundation, in partnership with the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI), invites Thai people at risk of HIV infection to take part in an online survey. This survey is part of a research project focused on developing long-acting PrEP service models that fit the real-life behaviors, needs, and lifestyles of the people who use them. Your participation will provide important data to help strengthen Thailand's HIV prevention services. Participants who complete the survey will receive 150 baht as a thank-you for their time and valuable input.

What is PrEP, and why does it matter?

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is medication taken before potential exposure to HIV to reduce the risk of infection. A newer long-acting form of PrEP (long-acting PrEP) does not require taking a pill every day, which is expected to make HIV prevention more accessible and effective. This research examines how cost-effective long-acting PrEP is and what impact it could have on the HIV epidemic among Thailand's key populations, in order to inform public health policy decisions.

What is this research project?

This survey is part of the research project "A Study of the Epidemiological Impact and Cost-Effectiveness of Long-Acting PrEP Among Key Populations in Thailand," which has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University (IRB No. 0785/65). The project's main goal is to gather data from key populations to help develop national standards for HIV and PrEP services, working toward ending the HIV epidemic in communities and across Thailand.

Participant eligibility

✅ Inclusion criteria (all must apply)

• Thai national, able to read, speak, and write Thai
• At least 18 years of age
• Self-identify as HIV-negative
• At risk of HIV infection

❌ Exclusion criteria

• Previously took part in the qualitative data-collection phase of this research project
• Previously took part in the survey pilot testing for this research project
• Not a Thai national and without permanent residence in Thailand
• Staying temporarily or visiting as a tourist
• A participant in the Len4PrEP clinical trial
