Buddy+ gives people living with HIV and those close to them a non-judgemental place to share experiences, find information, and support one another.

Love Foundation develops this work around accessibility, privacy, non-discrimination, and practical connections to support.

01

Peer support matters

After a diagnosis, people often have questions they are not ready to ask publicly. Buddy+ connects them with peers who understand without making anyone feel alone.

The community does not replace clinical care, but it can help members prepare questions, navigate services, and stay engaged with treatment.

02

What members share

  • Starting treatment and attending follow-up
  • U=U, relationships, and quality of life
  • Friendly services and routes to support
  • Activities that strengthen confidence and challenge self-stigma
03

Trust requires privacy

Members should not screenshot, forward messages, or disclose another person’s status without permission. Experience-sharing must not become individual prescribing advice.

For a physical or mental-health emergency, contact healthcare or emergency services directly.
